    1. Acceptance of Terms

    By creating an account or using CatchBuddy, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

    2. Eligibility

    • You must be at least 13 years old to use CatchBuddy.
    • Users aged 13–17 must provide a parent or guardian email address.
    • You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
    • One person per account. Do not create multiple accounts.

    3. User Conduct

    You agree not to:

    • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
    • Share false or misleading information
    • Use the platform for commercial purposes without permission
    • Attempt to access other users' accounts
    • Post inappropriate content or spam
    • Arrange meetings with intent to harm or deceive

    4. Safety

    CatchBuddy provides tools to help you play sports safely, including public meeting spots, parent dashboards for minors, and reporting features. However, you are responsible for your own safety when meeting other players. We strongly recommend:

    • Meeting in well-lit, public locations
    • Telling someone where you are going
    • Trusting your instincts — if something feels off, leave
    • Reporting any concerning behavior immediately

    5. Account Termination

    We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, pose a safety risk, or engage in fraudulent activity. You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings.

    6. Limitation of Liability

    CatchBuddy is a platform for connecting players. We are not responsible for injuries, disputes, or incidents that occur during games. By using the platform, you acknowledge that sports activities carry inherent risks.

    7. Changes to Terms

    We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.

    End User License Agreement (EULA)

    This EULA governs your use of the CatchBuddy mobile and web applications ("the App"). By installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by this EULA in addition to the Terms & Conditions above.

    A. Grant of License

    CatchBuddy grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial use to organize and join pickup sports games.

    B. Restrictions

    You agree not to:

    • Use the App for any commercial purpose, paid coaching, leagues, or resale without our written consent
    • Create automated accounts, bots, or scrapers, or use the App in any automated manner
    • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
    • Harass, threaten, impersonate, stalk, or abuse other users
    • Upload objectionable, illegal, or infringing content
    • Interfere with or disrupt the App, its servers, or its security

    CatchBuddy has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Violations may result in immediate account termination and content removal.

    C. User Content & Ownership

    You retain ownership of the content you create (profile info, messages, game posts, photos). By submitting content to the App, you grant CatchBuddy a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, store, display, and distribute that content solely as needed to operate, improve, and provide the service to you and other users.

    You are solely responsible for the content you post and the consequences of posting it.

    D. Disclaimer of Warranties & Liability

    THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. CatchBuddy is a platform that connects players — we do not organize, supervise, or participate in any in-person activity arranged through the App.

    To the maximum extent permitted by law, CatchBuddy is not liable for any injuries, property damage, no-shows, disputes, theft, harassment, or any other harm that occurs before, during, or after a game arranged through the App. You acknowledge that sports activities and meeting strangers carry inherent risks, and you participate at your own risk.

    E. Termination

    This license is effective until terminated. CatchBuddy may suspend or terminate your account and license at any time, with or without notice, if you violate this EULA, the Terms & Conditions, or applicable law. Upon termination, you must stop using the App and delete it from your devices.

    F. Third-Party Stores (Apple / Google)

    If you obtained the App through the Apple App Store or Google Play, you also agree to the usage terms of those stores. The store providers are not parties to this EULA and are not responsible for the App or its content. CatchBuddy alone is responsible for the App, including maintenance, support, warranty claims, and product liability claims.

    G. Governing Law

    This EULA is governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
